herdtest runs on live sessions. Builders post what they need, testers apply, and the work happens in a shared room. Here’s the flow from both sides.

For builders

  1. Post a session

    Describe the task, set the pay and length, add skills or devices you need, and optionally require an NDA.

  2. Review applicants

    Verified testers apply. Read their profiles and ratings, message them, and accept the right fit.

  3. Run the live room

    Screen-share, chat, and a shared timer. Watch testers work through your flow in real time.

  4. Complete & review

    Mark it done — the fee releases from escrow to the tester — then leave a rating.

Post a session

For testers

  1. Build your profile

    List your skills, devices and languages. The more complete it is, the better sessions you match.

  2. Apply to sessions

    Browse open tests, apply in one tap, and add a short pitch. The fee is held in escrow the moment you’re accepted.

  3. Sign & join

    Sign the NDA if one’s required, then join the live room and do the work.

  4. Get paid

    When the builder completes the session, your payout is released. Earnings show up on your dashboard.
